Introduction

Guava: Banking for Solopreneurs

Guava is a specialized banking platform tailored to the unique needs of solopreneurs. My journey with Guava began as a freelancer, embarking on a nine-month project.
To kickstart the project, I conducted a comprehensive audit to assess Guava's specific requirements. Subsequently, I identified a series of pivotal projects and collaborated closely with the Head of Product to formulate a strategic roadmap.

Video Onboarding

Improving Onboarding Conversion by 12%

My initial challenge centered around elevating Guava's onboarding process. I commenced by conducting a meticulous audit of the existing onboarding experience and scrutinizing relevant metrics. This analysis revealed a critical issue: users were compelled to watch mandatory onboarding videos without accessible captions.
To remedy this, I swiftly implemented several refinements, making the video optional, introducing captions (leveraging TikTok's functionality), and enhancing the clarity of onboarding copy. These modifications yielded a remarkable 12% increase in onboarding conversions.

Transaction Enrichment

Making transactions easier to understand

I undertook a redesign of Guava's transaction user interface, with the primary objective of enhancing user comprehension of financial transactions. My approach aimed to make transaction details easily scannable, and we achieved this by incorporating logos to distinguish transactions. Additionally, I crafted a receipt page and introduced a user-friendly categorization feature, simplifying the entire transaction experience.

Virtual Cards

Secure Spending & Budgeting with Virtual Cards

Guava, while offering physical plastic and metal card options, recognized the need to facilitate safe online spending for solopreneurs. Furthermore, responding to a top user request, we ventured into budgeting through company cards. I conceptualized and designed a comprehensive menu screen, a streamlined virtual card creation flow, and an intuitive interface for managing virtual cards.
